On the road to Verrettes

Greetings and welcome to the CFHE office

Bicycle Project

Most of the students have to travel 4 to 5 miles (one way) to get to school.  The first year that we were in operation we paid the ‘tap-tap’ (taxi) fees of $70 a year per student.  We soon realized if we bought each student a good second-hand bicycle for $50-$55, that we would realize a great savings over the years.  The bicycles, if maintained, could last many years. There are several bike repair shops in the area.  The following pictures show the purchase of our first 52 bicycles and some of the students who gratefully received them.
